Everyone contributes to this, employees and volunteers, and  not just as advisers, but also as administrators, campaigners and back office staff, all have a role to play in helping us to achieve our goals.

We have a range of volunteering opportunities available including working on our telephone helpline and drop-in services, supporting our campaigns work as well as administrative roles.

Trustee Recruitment

Citizens Advice Leeds is a local charity working for a fairer society where people are free from the effects of poverty and injustice.  We help around 30,000 people a year by providing free legal advice online, by telephone and face-to-face, and we campaign for social justice as part of the national Citizens Advice movement.

We are seeking 3 new trustees to join our Board who share our passion for social justice and who have the skills and experience to help drive forward our next phase of development as a leading provider of free and independent advice services.

Some of the attributes we’re seeking are:  experience in the voluntary sector in a management or leadership role, and demonstrated experience in promoting equity, diversity and inclusion practices.  We’re also seeking a trustee who has experience of managing legal advice services and/or working in legal aid services.

Customer Service Volunteers

We are recruiting Customer Service volunteers to help in our new Advice Hub. This is an administrative role which involves providing a friendly and professional service to clients who come into the Advice Hub seeking advice. You will be part of a team providing the first point of contact for clients who use our service.

If you can be available between 9am and 1pm at least once a week (Mon-Fri) for 6 months or more and are interested in helping clients in this role we’d love to hear from you. A role description and information pack can be found below. To apply please contact us through the details in the pack.
